With the help of their community Michael and Mariah Cason raised an incredible $7,345 in memory of their son Reagan James Cason

Michael and Mariah Cason, are parents of to their precious son, Reagan James Cason.

Reagan was born on February 25th, 2023 at 6:30am and after his parents went into an appointment and heard the words that no parent can be prepared for, “We’re sorry. There is no heartbeat.”

“Our son was a perfect 7lbs and had a cute button nose and looked just like his daddy and we got 12 hours with our perfect boy.”

As the one year anniversary of their son’s birth approached, they decided to work with US based charity, Ashlie’s Embrace. The couple invited their community to donate to their goal of raising $6,000 in 30 days to provide a CuddleCot to two of their local area hospitals in their sons honour.

With the help of their community and their unwavering dedication to honouring their son, they raised an incredible $7,345 to place a CuddleCot at Lakewood Ranch Medical Hospital and Sarasota Memorial Hospital.

“We had the honor and privilege of getting to bless Lakewood Ranch Medical Center with a CuddleCot through Ashlie’s Embrace. This CuddleCot will enable families experiencing the loss of their baby at any age or gestation to spend more time with them and enables more time to create memories.”

“Thank you so much Laurie, Dr. Hallam and the staff/nurses of Lakewood Ranch Medical Center for making this ceremony so special and beautiful.”

“We are so grateful for all of the donations that we received to be able to make this gift possible. Reagan’s legacy will continue to be remembered through touching the lives of other families that unfortunately will walk through child loss.”
