Team Spotlight: Lindsay Lowery

When we talk about the work behind CuddleCot, it is more than just technology. It is deeply personal, shaped by the experiences of families who have walked through loss and now dedicate themselves to helping others. One of those people is Lindsay Lowery, Executive Director of Marketing and Growth for the Americas, whose journey into this work began with her own family’s story of grief and love.

Team Spotlight Lindsay Lowery

Working for CuddleCot and elevating bereavement care is near and dear to my heart, due to personal loss with my own miscarriage as well as the stillbirth of my niece, Helen James.

In 2018 I was living abroad in Panama waiting for the arrival of Helen in the United States with plans to be there for her birth. I had experienced a high-risk pregnancy with my son, so it never occurred to me that something could happen to my niece.

My sister’s pregnancy had been smooth for 38 weeks with all items purchased and the nursery ready, so it was beyond shocking to hear that Helen didn’t have a heartbeat and would be stillborn. I rushed to organize myself and travel to Nashville, TN, to be with my sister and her husband.

During this experience, our family learned of the CuddleCot allowing all of our family members and friends to arrive to meet Helen and make memories with her before saying goodbye.

It was life changing for our family, inspiring my sister and husband to start the Helen James Foundation donating CuddleCots across the country.

In 2024 I decided to return to work and was able to connect with Flexmort, the maker of the CuddleCot. The timing and opportunity were perfect with this role being such a gift in my life. Through the Helen James Foundation, CuddleCot has been able to expand into LATAM into Mexico, Chile, Colombia and Panama.

Every day is a gift to honor my niece and make her proud.

Lindsay’s journey reminds us that CuddleCot is more than a device. It is a way to give families time, memories, and dignity in moments of unimaginable heartbreak. Her work honors Helen’s legacy every day, ensuring more families across the world receive the compassionate bereavement care they deserve.

‘While You Were Apart’ Words from those who cared for your baby

There are some questions that bereaved parents carry quietly for years.

Bringing Thea home was so important to us.

We were recently contacted by Katie, mum to Seb and Thea-Dottie who wanted to share the importance of the CuddleCot to their family and how it enabled them to take precious Thea-Dottie home where she belonged. Not every family is given this opportunity, sometimes due to another family using a device and lack of availability, or simply a and heartbreakingly a lack of awareness.

No family should experience what we did

Ezra’s mum, Lianne shares their journey with grief, their bereavement care experiences, and why they are dedicated to advocating for better standards of compassionate bereavement care for families.
