A mother’s experience and the five days she will treasure forever

Five days. That is what CuddleCot gave this family.

Their beautiful daughter Talia Seren, was stillborn at 39+3. Like many parents, they had no idea how vital cooling would be until they needed it.

“Our hospital needed three the day our daughter died. Thank goodness they did, as we were loss number three by midday.”

Because a CuddleCot was available, this family had time. Time to read to their daughter, take photographs, hold her, and simply be with her. Time after the shock had passed. Time this mother describes as the best days of her life.

No family should miss out on this because equipment is unavailable or already in use.

Cooling is not a luxury. It is a fundamental part of compassionate bereavement care, and equal access matters. Every family, in every hospital, deserves the same opportunity for time, memories, and goodbye.

‘While You Were Apart’ Words from those who cared for your baby

There are some questions that bereaved parents carry quietly for years.

Bringing Thea home was so important to us.

We were recently contacted by Katie, mum to Seb and Thea-Dottie who wanted to share the importance of the CuddleCot to their family and how it enabled them to take precious Thea-Dottie home where she belonged. Not every family is given this opportunity, sometimes due to another family using a device and lack of availability, or simply a and heartbreakingly a lack of awareness.

No family should experience what we did

Ezra’s mum, Lianne shares their journey with grief, their bereavement care experiences, and why they are dedicated to advocating for better standards of compassionate bereavement care for families.

Is there any guidance on temperature and how long babies can be kept after loss, does the guidance change with baby weight?
