Honoring the leaders revolutionizing Bereavement Care in the U.S.

This week, the U.S. CuddleCot team attended the SYNOVA event in Arizona, connecting with friends and inspirational leaders transforming bereavement care for women and babies across the country.

Pictured left with CuddleCot’s Danielle Franck is the incredible Barb Hennie. After losing her baby Jeffery in 1981 from Trisomy 13, Barb started the first of four bereavement programs in the country at that time. She’s an OB nurse and helped create the Precious Parents program in Akron, Ohio. Today, she leads initiatives at Johnson & Johnson/Aveeno.

Pictured right are Heather Hogan and Hannah Fox, who possesses extensive experience in clinical operations and nursing and Hannah currently serves as Sr. Director of Clinical Operations for the Women, Infants, and Pediatrics Service Line at Banner Health, overseeing seven states and raising standards for bereavement care. We are continually in awe of the strides being taken by individuals, teams and health systems to do more for families in need of compassion.

Our team, Lindsay R. Lowery and Danielle Franck, also had the incredible opportunity to speak with the leaders of tomorrow, hearing how they plan to embed bereavement care standards into their health systems, and the role the CuddleCot plays in making this possible. We also heard heartfelt stories of how the CuddleCot has supported their teams and created meaningful moments for families.

We are in awe of the difference these leaders make. Bereavement care is healthcare, and we are proud to stand alongside them in driving meaningful change.

We are also proud to support thousands of healthcare professionals across the U.S. with our unique perinatal bereavement cooling device, the CuddleCot, and our free evidence-based online training at cuddlecot.com/training

Every CuddleCot helps hospitals provide compassionate care, giving families more time with their babies and improving grief outcomes.

‘While You Were Apart’ Words from those who cared for your baby

There are some questions that bereaved parents carry quietly for years.

Bringing Thea home was so important to us.

We were recently contacted by Katie, mum to Seb and Thea-Dottie who wanted to share the importance of the CuddleCot to their family and how it enabled them to take precious Thea-Dottie home where she belonged. Not every family is given this opportunity, sometimes due to another family using a device and lack of availability, or simply a and heartbreakingly a lack of awareness.

No family should experience what we did

Ezra’s mum, Lianne shares their journey with grief, their bereavement care experiences, and why they are dedicated to advocating for better standards of compassionate bereavement care for families.

Is there any guidance on temperature and how long babies can be kept after loss, does the guidance change with baby weight?
