Pickerington Methodist Hospital receives CuddleCot thanks to Ashlie’s Embrace & Miles’ Mission

Thanks to Ashlie’s Embrace and Miles’ Mission, the Pickerington Methodist Hospital received a CuddleCot from @ashliesembrace in memory of Miles Owen.

Miles' Mission donates CuddleCot

CuddleCots enable grieving families to spend time with their baby to create precious memories and facilitate the grieving process. With the CuddleCot, families are given the opportunity to hold their baby in their arms whilst keeping baby cool.

“It was incredible to feel the support and to hear the thanks from this group of nurses as well as hospital leadership. The nurses tell us that they tend to experience pregnancy and infant loss in three’s — showcasing how important it is for hospitals to have enough of these resources.

For reasons we’re unsure of, @jenniferbullocktv did not have the blessing of using a CuddleCot and is passionate about families having access to them. A huge thank you to the hospital for buying another CuddleCot in addition to this one and for taking the time to remember and honor Miles.” – Miles’ Mission

‘While You Were Apart’ Words from those who cared for your baby

There are some questions that bereaved parents carry quietly for years.

Bringing Thea home was so important to us.

We were recently contacted by Katie, mum to Seb and Thea-Dottie who wanted to share the importance of the CuddleCot to their family and how it enabled them to take precious Thea-Dottie home where she belonged. Not every family is given this opportunity, sometimes due to another family using a device and lack of availability, or simply a and heartbreakingly a lack of awareness.

No family should experience what we did

Ezra’s mum, Lianne shares their journey with grief, their bereavement care experiences, and why they are dedicated to advocating for better standards of compassionate bereavement care for families.
