“If a CuddleCot had been there, you would have stayed with me”

WHY A CUDDLE COT MATTERS – Hayley Wilkins, Mummy to Sienna Elizabeth Rose

Hayley Wilkins Siennas legacy

My beautiful girl 🩷🪽

I keep thinking about all the time we should have had.

If a CuddleCot had been there, you would have stayed with me. When I woke up, you would have been right beside me not hours away, not a journey between us. I would have seen you straight away. I would have held you without delay.

Your family would have met you. They would have seen how perfect you are, just like I do. You would have been surrounded by so much love.

And I would have had more than just an hour. More than moments that felt rushed and taken too soon. I would have had time to breathe you in, to trace every little detail of your face, your hands, your feet. Time to memorize you the way a mother should.

I would have dressed you in the clothes I chose just for you. I would have read to you, held you close, cuddled you for as long as I wanted. I wouldn’t have been rushed. No one would have taken you away before I was ready.

My friends would have held you too. They would have loved you, just like they love me. We would have shared you, our beautiful girl, with the people who care about us.

We would have had time.

I would have taken more photos. I would have made moulds of your tiny hands and feet, something I could hold onto forever. I would have done so many things differently if I had just been given that time.

But even without all of that… please know this:

You are loved more than words could ever hold. You are part of me, always. Every thought, every ache, every wish for “more time” comes from how deeply I love you.

I carry you with me in everything. In every quiet moment, in every memory, in every piece of my heart that will always belong to you.

I wish I had more time with you, my darling girl. I will always wish for that.

Forever your mummy x

‘While You Were Apart’ Words from those who cared for your baby

There are some questions that bereaved parents carry quietly for years.

Bringing Thea home was so important to us.

We were recently contacted by Katie, mum to Seb and Thea-Dottie who wanted to share the importance of the CuddleCot to their family and how it enabled them to take precious Thea-Dottie home where she belonged. Not every family is given this opportunity, sometimes due to another family using a device and lack of availability, or simply a and heartbreakingly a lack of awareness.

No family should experience what we did

Ezra’s mum, Lianne shares their journey with grief, their bereavement care experiences, and why they are dedicated to advocating for better standards of compassionate bereavement care for families.
