💙 A Gift of Time: The Carter Family’s Incredible Generosity 💙

After enduring the unimaginable heartbreak of losing three precious children, Angel and Garrett Carter have turned their grief into an act of incredible generosity. Their mission is to provide the gift of time to grieving parents through the donation of CuddleCots.

In 2021, after a joyful IVF pregnancy, their world was shattered when Angel went into labor at just 20 weeks. Their son Nolan lived for only an hour. This heartbreak was followed by two more losses—Brooklyn and Grant.

“We went through this a couple times, twice with the CuddleCot, once without,” the Carters shared. The CuddleCot allowed them precious moments to hold, sing to, and say goodbye to their babies. Inspired by another family’s donation, the Carters set up a GoFundMe with a modest goal of $1,000. The community’s response was overwhelming, raising nearly $10,000.

With these funds, they donated CuddleCots to hospitals in Berlin and Shawano, giving other parents the chance to make precious memories and have just a little more time with their babies.

“It’s the memories you get for the rest of your life because you’re not making new ones,” said Angel.

Their generosity ensures that more families will have the gift of time with their little ones.

‘While You Were Apart’ Words from those who cared for your baby

There are some questions that bereaved parents carry quietly for years.

Bringing Thea home was so important to us.

We were recently contacted by Katie, mum to Seb and Thea-Dottie who wanted to share the importance of the CuddleCot to their family and how it enabled them to take precious Thea-Dottie home where she belonged. Not every family is given this opportunity, sometimes due to another family using a device and lack of availability, or simply a and heartbreakingly a lack of awareness.

No family should experience what we did

Ezra’s mum, Lianne shares their journey with grief, their bereavement care experiences, and why they are dedicated to advocating for better standards of compassionate bereavement care for families.
